Ever wanted a Jap-Rod? Sick of the endless debates about which RB/2JZ/V-Tech/13B & BS engine is best? How about an '82 Starion with a Ford GT V8?
The 'BOSS' started life as an American Triton 5.4 SOHC V8, Ford Australia added twin-cam, 4v/cyl heads and trick manifolds with high-revving(ish) internals, and there you have it - a 290kw car with rear wheel drive and no weight. Not to mention quirky looks, rarity, and the opportunity to tell people at parties that the 'Starion' was so named because Chairman Yummymoto couldn't say 'Stallion'.
Thanks Aaron at Diesel Gas Technology & Exhaust (Moree, NSW) for this one.

ReplyDeleteAwesome work mate I love stations and ma BA GT thinking of doing a similar build but a TT version any help would be apprietiated u can contact me at allsite_welding_fab@hotmail.com cheers
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy! You'll need to cut out the radiator support and tunnel. The new tunnel in this one was fabbed from sheet metal with 50 bends (or something like that) - you can email the builder if u like - dgtemoree(at)bigpond.com
